Adenhart Killed After Six Scoreless Start

Tragic news, as Maryland native and Angels’ pitching prospect Nick Adenhart died in a car accident this morning. It was a hit-and-run, and two others passed away as well (though the perpetrator was hospitalized). He had started yesterday's game for LA, pitching six scoreless innings against the A's. I’m disappointed in myself as a person, in that the thought “that’s horrible” was followed not all that long after by “now the Angels are really thin on pitching.” My condolences go out to his family and friends.
