The Great Joba Experiment Of Ought Eight

You know who didn't have a good first start of the year today? Joba Chamberlain. 2.1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 4 BB, 3 K, 62 pitches with only 32 for strikes. The now Joba-less bullpen decided that they missed their hard-throwing righty and gave up 7 runs out of sadness. The Yanks lost to the Jays 9-3. I wonder how many complaints there will be in the New York papers tomorrow?
