What Baseball Musings Is Saying

David Pinto of BaseballMusings is actually providing some serious commentary on the O's. You don't often see more than a mention of an O's win/loss and the score, unless the team is being insulted or made fun of.

Pinto is impressed with the pen:
"The Orioles win handily over the Rangers 8-1. Fifth starter Brian Burres pitched very well, limiting the Rangers to one run over six innings. The bullpen, however, continues to be the most impressive group on the Orioles so far. With three shutout innings, they lowered the pen's ERA to 0.74. They've stuck out 19 in 24 1/3 innings while walking just five. A group that was famous for blowing leads is now shutting down the opposition."
He also has similar ideas as me about the effect of O's small ball:
The Orioles score two ways in the top of the second at Texas. Scott Moore homers to lead off the inning, then Adam Jones is bunted to third after a double and scores on a single.

Actually, since he scored on a single, the bunt might just be a wasted out.
It's nice to see the team getting some positive (or at least objective) attention, as opposed to "analysts" just saying they're "horrible" or "the worst team in baseball."
