The Duke Does The Job

Hiroki Kuroda makes an impressive debut going 7 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 4 K to beat hard-luck loser Justin Germano (6 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 3 K). A six run seventh inning lead to a 7-1 Dodgers win, which ties them for the NL West lead with the Padres.

Dustin Moseley's transition from reliever to starter goes less than well (5 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 2 BB, 4 K) and Texas' Kason Gabbard works around 7 hits to shut the Angels out over 7 innings. A Ben Broussard grand-slam early and a five run inning late to give the Rangers an 11-0 lead. LA tried to come back by scoring six in the bottom of the ninth, but it wasn't enough as Texas evens their record at 2-2 with the 11-6 win.

Oakland's Justin Duchscherer's move into the rotation, on the other hand, goes very well (5 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 6 K). Cleveland hit a pair of solo home runs, but a 4-4 performance from Ryan Sweeney and a four run fifth stood up as the A's beat the Indians 6-3.
